Herbalists are very much like natural general practitioners. We treat a wide range of ailments using plant medicines along side dietary and lifestyle adjustments. The aim is to encourage the body to restore homeostasis (balance) when illness has been caused by infection, stress, toxicity, injury and/or life experience in general. Each client we see deepens and enriches our practice, as we work together to come to a clearer understanding of an individuals health and the steps that can be taken to improve it.

I specialise in acute medicine and have worked extensively with addiction issues. However, my particular interest at present is the transitional time around menopause and mitigating the negative effects of ageing

Daniella Carrozza

  • Holistic, Hands Free, Deep Tissue and Lomi Lomi Massage Therapist
  • Trained at the Bristol College of Massage & Body Work BCMB in 2008
  • Extensive hands free massage training with Darien Pritchard in 2011
  • The ancient Hawaiian practice of Lomi Lomi massage at the school of The Touch of Loving Presence in 2020.
  • BSc Hons Herbal Medicine, Middlesex University.
I began my journey as a therapist in my early 20s and trained initially as a medical herbalist.  This gave me a strong foundation for the body work that has become the backbone of my practice.  Over the years I have completed many trainings which have lead to an integrative approach to my clients health care needs.  After the birth of my children I have become increasingly interested in women’s health care especially in relation to the menstrual cycle.  That said I also enjoy and welcome working with both men and the contrast this provides in my work.
I work intuitively listening to the body and how its responding to the depth, pressure and speed of touch. Combining the breath, we work together to find the meeting point of release within the body at a structural, but also at an emotional level.
Fusion treatments are tailor made to provide you with a holistic experience.  When working on tension areas I combine techniques from various modalities such as deep tissue, mobilisation, trigger point release and myofacial work, which is then integrated through the beautiful long flowing strokes of the lomi lomi creating an overall connection to the body and deep release and restoration.
If you have an ongoing health problem that you want further support with I offer a herbal consultation with a body work session.  I take a full case history before the treatment which provides you with a taylor made herbal prescription.  This is a truly holistic approach looking at all the systems of the body and how they are functioning in isolation and as a whole.  This remedy you then take home with you and continue to take daily and can be part of an ongoing treatment plan or can be a stand alone support for you.

I have an extensive knowledge of women’s health, therefore gynaecological care feature heavily in my range of treatments. My extensive training in this field brings a deep understanding of the needs of women and enables me to extend my treatments to help with hormonal, physical and emotional changes for any stage of a women’s life.  The central focus is the womb space and we spiral out, working with whatever emerges from connecting at this crucial point. This work is deeply satisfying and is so greatly needed that I am forever grateful to have the opportunity to continue to grow and develop my calling.

Lomi Lomi Nui (The Great Massage) a gift from Hawaii was a sacred initiation ritual practiced in temples and sacred places. In addition to its many therapeutic effects, this traditional form of full body massage was designed to bring the receiver to a deeper connection with themselves and an expanded understanding of all that is. It is a journey of discovery and transformation, which brings us back to our true Selves.  It is a deeply relaxing and restorative treatment, using oils and long sweeping strokes that flow along the length of the body, a truly unique experience.

Testimonial

“Daniella connects on a level that I never experience anywhere else. Her skill is not only in her hands and technique but hugely in her senses and ability to feel out problems and issues just through touch and sense. Daniella has a unique technique whereby she synchronises her breathing with mine during the deep & effective massage treatments. Focussing on core issues Daniella deploys many different techniques that get to the root of the problem and she has the ability to push energies through the body, enlivening, releasing and replenishing energy stores. Offering an intimate, relaxed and wholly non-judgemental environment”

 Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a holistic healing system that originated from the Indian sub–continent over 5000 years ago. This system of healing restores balance to the body and mind, while healing and preventing disease through food, herb, cleansing and lifestyle advice. Ayurveda recognises we each have a specific mind-body type and explains how to live in balance with this – the foundation for good health. Conditions Ayurveda can help with include Chronic Diseases, Digestive Complaints, Chronic Inflammation, Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Fear, Fatigue, Insomnia, Anger/irritability, Psoriasis, Burnout, Menopause, Weight Loss/Gain, Water Retention, Lethargy, Respiratory Conditions, Excess Mucus, Lymphatic Congestion.

Training

I trained with the American Institute of Vedic studies and am a member of the Ayurvedic Professionals Association.

What you can expect from a consultation

During the 60 minute consultation we will take a deep dive into your health and personal history. I will ask a number of questions in relation to your diet, lifestyle and life experiences, and carry out tongue and nail diagnosis. This in-depth consultation will allow me to discover your constitution (prakriti), and whether you currently have any imbalances (vikriti) – the ground for ill health. Shortly after the consultation I will send you a personal Ayurvedic healthcare plan which includes nutritional and lifestyle advice, daily and seasonal routines, cleansing advice, appropriate Ayurvedic therapies that can be carried out at home, herbal and aroma suggestions.

What you can expect from an Ayurvedic coaching session

I offer 30 minute and 60 minute Ayurvedic coaching sessions, and recommend a 30 minute one 2-3 weeks after your initial consultation, to check in on how things are going. The 60 minute sessions are designed to support you to implement your plan, and support anyone with Ayurvedic advice. I also draw on my experience of helping people to change habits quickly through my work as a clinical Hypnotherapist.

Clinical Hypnotherapy

As a clinical Hypnotherapist I offer sessions in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, which is a modern psychotherapeutic approach that combines Solution Focused Brief Therapy with light trance work. In Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, therapists look at what the client wants to achieve (the solution) rather than at whatever prompted them to seek help (the problem). This is a powerful modern technique that enables positive change quickly and effectively – changes are usually seen within 8-12 weeks. Conditions helped include Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Low Self-Esteem, Insomnia, Anger, IBS, OCD, PTSD, Exam Stress, Performance Enhancement.

Sessions

Through deep relaxation and light trance we bring both the conscious mind and sub-conscious mind into balance and focus them on how you want things to be, creating the conditions within the mind to support positive change.

We begin with the initial consultation where you can discuss the changes you would like to make; learn the way the brain works; discover how we experience emotions in the way that we do and how these can affect us and our habits, along with what we can do to change these; and learn what light  trance is, that it is a very normal and natural state. At the end of the initial consultation if you decide you would like to continue, you will leave with a link to a relaxation recording to listen to in between sessions.

For stress and digestive issues Ayurveda combined with Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a powerful combination.

Testimonials

I hadn’t been sleeping due to anxiety. I’m now experiencing good quality sleep, a lowering of anxiety, a positive outlook and a supportive mental attitude. I am so happy with the outcomes after years of struggling it has been life changing.

When I came to see Lucy my digestion was not good and I was suffering from panic attacks. In just a few weeks I felt grounded and the pain was gone. I moved forward in all areas of my life. I now sleep better and look forward with optimism and brightness.”

Lucy is nurturing in such a grounded and honest way. It’s such a part of her being to be empathetic and compassionate and these abilities shine through her sessions.”

After I recently received some concerning test results related to a cancer I live with for quite some years Lucy jumped in to be my health coach to support me in boosting my immunity and energy. Through her personal, practical and confident way of explaining and applying her knowledge, by cooking the most delicious and beautiful meals, Lucy makes the Ayurvedic way of living very accessible and attractive. Working together with Lucy in planning my healthy meals and preparing food made the learning fun and easy. I can’t recommend Lucy enough to anyone who likes to feel more balanced and in charge of how they feel in their own body. She is a true treasure of wisdom that can benefit so many.

“I came to see Lucy for a number of months to heal some deep rooted things linked to grief, anxiety and insomnia. My sleep and mood improved vastly. I would definitely recommend Lucy for her calm, compassionate and effective work.”

I am an experienced kinesiology practitioner, certified by the Kinesiology Association. After kinesiology helped to get to the root of my son’s health issues over 10 years ago, I decided to change careers and train as a kinesiologist myself. I am a firm believer in the power of the body to heal itself when it is rebalanced and given the right tools and help.

My aim is to empower people to regain control of their health and to provide the appropriate support to help you do this. My recommendations and guidance may include lifestyle changes, taking nutritional supplements and/or flower remedies, eliminating certain foods from your diet, etc.

I see all clients but particularly enjoy working with children and young people and seeing how they and their families benefit from kinesiology. I make sure children’s sessions are informal, relaxed and fun!

Some of the health issues I have helped people with include: stress and anxiety, digestive disorders, back pain, migraines, low energy, low immunity, depression, eczema, asthma, learning difficulties, menopausal symptoms, weight loss/gain.

Feel free to contact me before you book an appointment. I am happy to talk either on the phone or face-to-face to see how kinesiology and/or reiki might help you or your child.

Lucy Peel

Lucy works with various naturopathic therapies to help get your body back into balance. Naturopathy is a very holistic therapy as all aspects of a person are considered, including the emotional, mental and physical.

Lucy graduated from the University of Westminster with a first-class honours degree in Naturopathy in 2010 and with a Masters in Nutritional Therapy in 2017.  As part of her studies she learnt about naturopathic nutrition, detoxing and cleansing, therapeutic massage, lymphatic cleansing, naturopathic hydrotherapy, Bach Flower remedies and other fascinating natural health knowledge that everyone should know about!  She has also completed her yoga teacher training which she incorporates into her therapeutic plans where appropriate.

Lucy has always been interested in complementary medicine, particularly the effects food can have on mood.  She discovered Naturopathy when living in Australia in her mid-20s and a few years later took the plunge into returning to university and retraining.  She is also a Reiki level 2 practitioner which she incorporates into her naturopathic practice.

Her approach in practice is very holistic, exploring the mental/emotional, physical and biochemical aspects of a person and how this will be affecting their health.  Her treatment plans are based on this holistic approach and she really enjoys working with her patients to encourage them to make the changes that are achievable for them.

Lucy is registered with the General Council and Register of Naturopaths and is fully insured to practice.
