I’m fully qualified in Somatic Experiencing, having trained in the US, the UK and Europe. S.E is a highly recognised mode of therapy with quick and lasting results for short-lived traumas, and it’s also highly effective for more complex or longstanding suffering. S.E is useful with difficult childhoods, relationship difficulties, health problems, chronic pain, insomnia, panic, anxiety, depression, phobias… I also see and have a great success rate with children and the young.
Few animals are traumatised in the wild, despite going through terrible experiences. This is because they know how to let their body release the shock or stress. Whereas humans, in our finite wisdom, often stop this process. My job is to help you rediscover the innate wisdom of your body to heal you now, even from events that took place many years ago. As a result of this work, you will find it easier to stay in a balanced and easeful state during normal times, but also have increased resilience during stress and strain.
S.E brings ancient and up-to-date techniques together so that we can deal with your past and your pain without having to go into your story. S.E can feel like a whole new language once you’re familiar with it, and deals with the fact that we are not just a body and a mind, but a nervous system too.
Typically most clients see a difference in just a few sessions, and some clients need only a handful. For more complex problems and traumas, it can take longer, but the difference with SE is that your body heals you using its own innate wisdom. That might sound a bit woo-woo to some, but there is a lot of research and burgeoning opinion that the most lasting and deep change has to involve gently feelings the feelings we’re trying to get rid of. That is the way to lasting and profound change.
As a published author, I also offer creative mentoring to artists of every kind, to help you get out of your own way.

I have been practicing as a therapist since 1991. I trained first in Therapeutic Massage and started my practice in London and eventually moved to the West country.
I trained in Health Kinesiology and also Reiki 1 and 2 and have recently completed a course in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy at The Clifton practice in Bristol.
I love what I do and am very excited about working as a Hypnotherapist. To help someone change their life for the better, reach a goal that they felt was out of their reach or unlearn old unwanted habits by the power of positive thoughts and action.

I have been working as a Therapist, Homeopath and Healer for over 25 years. During that time I have studied many approaches to healing the body and mind. I have supported people through many life crises both physical and emotional using a variety of techniques. My passion is to help people to regain their sense of health and fulfilment in life.
My main concern is that people feel safe and supported during treatment whatever their problem. I work with all ages and all types of issues. I look at the whole person and help with general outlook including stress, diet, nutrition and lifestyle to support the healing process.
Some of the problems I have helped people with are depression, anxiety, hormonal imbalances including infertility and menopause, digestive problems, insomnia, joint pain, hay fever, asthma, eczema and allergies.
I also enjoy working with pregnant women and children who can respond well to homeopathy.
As well as dealing with individuals, I am also an experienced couples counsellor and help people to find techniques to listen to each other and communicate so that they can find a way through their problems together.
