Massage is a great way to relieve the physical discomfort and emotional stress that can accompany pregnancy. It relaxes the mind and body, relieving muscular tension, promotes wellbeing and improves sleep at night. Massage can help after the birth too. As well as giving you some precious time to look after yourself, it promotes muscle healing and spinal alignment, important factors in returning your body to its pre-pregnancy state.
Helen began her training at Shepton Mallet Adult Learning in 2002 and completed her training in 2006. Helen has always had an interest in holistic therapy and thinks that this probably started when she was a child mixing flower petals in her parent’s garden!
Helen is experienced in working with people with cancer and as well as working at Neal’s Yard Remedies Helen is also a member of the therapy team and RNID Poolemead in Bath providing massage and aromatherapy treatments for deaf and deaf/blind adults with additional learning difficulties.
Helen finds all areas of her work extremely rewarding and – as she puts it – finally found out what she wanted to do when she left school 20 years after she had left!

I trained at BCMB and I am a MTI registered, Holistic Massage Therapist. I have gone on to specialise in pregnancy massage, completing my post graduate training with ‘Well Mother’. I feel passionate about massage and aim to provide a caring, non-judgemental touch, with the intention to nurture and heal. I feel it is an honour to be able to support people on their journey to health and wellbeing, through massage.
I offer bespoke treatments specifically tailored to suit the clients individual needs, drawing from a wide range of techniques, from subtle energy work to deep tissue methods; from stretching and mobilization to gentle holds. By working in a client centred way and taking into account the emotional as well as the physical, I treat my clients as a whole, offering treatments that leave you feeling relaxed, revived and invigorated.

I gained a special interest in holistic health, wellness and natural beauty on my travels around the world. Having worked in the fashion industry for many years and still modelling well into my fifties -I have had a vested interest in how to look and feel ones best totally naturally!
I am trained in Reiki, Cranio-Sacral Therapy , Reflexologist AOR and specialise in maternity treatments often combining aromatherapy, massage and reflexology. Rejuvanessence and Facial Energy Release- face therapy. Qualified in Advanced Massage in 1990 and became an IFPA registered Aromatherapist and Rejuvanessence® practitioner in 1991.
Please take a look at my own website carolinejosling.com
My treatments often draw on a mélange of all these techniques with a strong holistic lean; I offer advice on how to optimise health naturally with life- style and supplements suggestions whilst complementing any conventional medical treatment. In a busy and often stressful world I believe that treatments can restore and revive the person, as well as offering support whilst going through a stressful time, recovering from illness, low energy or grief. Treatments can help to release pent up stress and tension to help you regain balance.
I have run many practitioner trainings since 2004 /2013 for The International Institute of Rejuvanessence and now run practitioner trainings in Facial Energy Release-face therapy.
Facial Energy Release – face therapy
This is a wonderful life-enhancing therapy that soothes away the ravages of modern life. Unique fingertip holistic therapy also known as “Angels Touch”.
It includes gentle, very precise massage of the 91 muscles of the face, neck skull and shoulders whilst also working on facial connective tissue making it more elastic and flexible.
As well as looking younger, clients often say that they feel invigorated, rejuvenated, healing. Blissfully hypnotic touch works on lymph, acupuncture points releasing blocked energy and tension. A course of Facial Energy Release comprises of six sessions of 80 minutes each working on different groups of connective tissue and muscles.

Since I first trained as a holistic therapist, I have constantly updated my skill and knowledge. Now I offer a wide range of holistic treatments and, depending on your needs or conditions I carefully choose your treatment plan with you. All my treatments are tailor made to ensure you have a truly holistic experience.
I use combinations of different techniques for my massages which allow me to range from a firm pressure to a delicate touch, which helps to release the tension seated in any depth of tissue.
I have an extensive knowledge of aromatherapy and use this for my treatments. Aromatherapy and holistic treatments work wonderfully together and I take pride in this combination which helps not only reduce physical problems but may also bring emotional relief as well. My treatments are always based on ‘de-stressing’ and you can feel both physically and mentally lighter after my treatment.
Maternity and gynaecological care also feature heavily in my range of treatments. My extensive training in this field brings a deep understanding of the needs of women and enables me to extend my treatments to help with hormonal, physical and emotional changes for any stages of women’s life.

I trained at The College of Classical Massage (based in Brighton) under college Principle Michael Gibbons. I regularly assist the Principal of CCM in teaching the new Holistic Massage Diploma students encompassing all areas of massage technique, good posture and general student support.
I have been hugely influenced by my Grandfather who initially trained in medicine, but embraced a new career in complementary medicine in his 50s. He had a successful Osteopathy, Acupuncture & Homoeopathy practice. He treated the whole family and encouraged me to pursue massage, regularly inviting me to observe him at work.
I massaged all my children when they were babies and now they are teenagers who enjoy a variety of sports including Kickboxing, Boxing, Rugby, Basketball and sedentary gaming, they continue to benefit from my skills!!
Meeting a new client, I observe closely individual posture and gait and after a full consultation to gain a medical history and knowledge on any repetitive physical actions they may be doing to adversely affect their body’s balance, I design a bespoke treatment to suit their needs.
I never tire of the joy I feel witnessing the “before & after” effect, the profound difference the power of touch can have!
My regular clients include Teachers, Nurses, Musicians, Artists, Chefs, Physiotherapists, Midwives, Hairdressers, Yoga teachers, Builders, Camera men, Prison Officers, Gardeners, Actors, children and other Therapists.
