My name is Adam and I live in Frome with my partner and three young children.
I have experience treating women and men who are finding it difficult to conceive, as well as supporting women’s health through pregnancy and the postpartum period. I am particularly interested in the work of Michel Odent, a world leading obstetrician and childbirth specialist and Liliana Lammers who runs Paramana Doula with Michel Odent.
On the other side of the spectrum, I treat a lot of people involved in different sporting activities, including professional athletes, trainers, martial artists, and the hobbyist. Acupuncture is well suited for sports injuries or pain management.
Some of the other conditions I see in the clinic are back/neck/shoulder pain, arthritis, Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), muscles/tendons/ligaments dysfunctions, digestive conditions such as IBS, mental/emotional problems, insomnia and headaches/migraines.
I have had further training in Japanese acupuncture which has expanded my practice and treatment approach. My treatment style consists of treating the ‘root’ and the ‘branch’. I feel that behind every symptom there is an underlying deficiency of the body, this is often called the ‘root’ treatment. Often this area is hidden or neglected, but if understood and treated, it can create a space for the body to rebalance and heal. Then the branch or ‘symptoms’ are treated to remove the discomfort which creates lasting results. This relates to ‘fine tuning’ the nervous system and boosting your natural immunity.
If you would like to talk to me, I’m happy to discuss whether acupuncture is right for you and what treatment approach to take.
